I have never renewed my account before, this is my first time doing it. You can start off by checking your inbox to see if you've received a confirmation email from SheerID. You should be able to apply the discount on your account by clicking the link in that email. If that doesn't solve this, feel free to take a look at this Spotify Answer that has some other steps that you can try. I have not received any emails from sheerID. I tried to verify again and says that I have already redeemed the offer. Apart from that, can you send us a screenshot with the error message you receive if it continues to show up? Make sure to cover any personal information in case it's present on the screenshot.

I got an email today that my student discount will run out soon and that I could renew it if I'm still a student. I don't see anything where I can reconfirm that I'm still a student, it just says "get premium". How does the discount renewal work? Am I supposed to log in and go through the "get premium" stuff again or will that leave me with 2 subscriptions? Go to Solution. Since you currently have an active subscription, you need to cancel your premium in your last month before the 12 student months are up and revert back to 'Spotify Free' before applying for the student discount again. Once canceled, you'll still be on Premium for the remainder of the month you've paid for. Then, after that, sign up for Premium again under the Student Discount. View solution in original post.
